2011 Events Stevenage Cycling Club will be holding 3 events this year. Club open evening 10 series. Starts on Wednesday 4th May. The course for 2011 is the same course as used by our friends in the Verulam CC on a Tuesday evening. The start is in Three Houses Lane which is off the Hitchin to Codicote B656 road about 0.7 miles north of Codicote. After starting in Three Houses Lane, proceed East and turn left onto the B656. Proceed towards Hitchin and turn at the first roundabout on the outskirts of Hitchin. Proceed back towards Codicote along the B656 and after passing Three Houses Lane on your right take the next left into a lane by the Knebworth House West Lodge and finish after about 50 yards. If you aren't riding but would like to help with the event, please let Tim Read know. Entry fee is £2 for SCC members and £3 for non-members. If you must drive to the event, please park well away from the start/finish and off the course. Bad weather (heavy rain most likely) may cause the event to be abandoned, this is at the organisers discretion. If you want confirmation please contact Tim Read on 07834412580. This years event will be held on Saturday 10th September 2011. Event organiser is Dan Nickolay, 105 Ely Close, Stevenage, Herts SG1 4NR C lub hill climbWe also organise a Club Hill Climb using the Weston Hills Road out of Baldock in the Autumn. This years event will be on Sunday 16th October 2011 at 10:00. |
