How do I add a new forum?
If you have been granted forum admin permissions by your website administrator, login and click on the forums link that typically can be found in your website’s main navigation bar. Then click on the Add forum link that can be found in the Forum admin drop down menu.

Give your new forum a name (e.g. training) and add a description indicating to other members what types of discussion you want to take place in this forum (e.g. here’s the place to talk about all topics relating to training). Decide which forums options are relevant to you and when you are ready click Save.

On Save, your new forum will be created and you will be redirected to the main forum category listing page. You can use your mouse to drop and drag your various forums up and down to change their running order.

How do I edit an existing forum?
If you have been granted forum admin permissions by your website administrator, login and go to the main forum category listing page. Click on the Edit Forum button and remember to save your changes.

How do I start a new discussion?
Login and click on the forums link that typically can be found in your website’s main navigation bar. Now click on the Add discussion menu button. Give your new discussion a name and type/or copy in your message. Select which forum you would like to appear and click on the Add discussion button below your message.

Once you have started a new discussion, you will receive an email notification when new posts are subsequently added. To turn off these notifications, visit the discussion in question and un-tick the “Alert me to new replies in this discussion”

How do add a reply to a forum discussion?
Login and click on the forums link that typically can be found in your website’s main navigation bar. Go to the discussion in question and at the bottom of the page you will see a box where you can post your reply.

Once you have added a reply to a discussion, you will receive an email notification when new posts are subsequently added. To turn off these notifications, visit the discussion in question and un-tick the “Alert me to new replies in this discussion”

How do I edit a new discussion/a reply to a forum discussion?
Login and click on the forums link that typically can be found in your website’s main navigation bar. Go to the discussion in question and find the post you want to edit. Click on the edit link, make your changes and remember to click Save.

How do I report a post that I feel contravenes the websites forum rules?
Login and click on the forums link that typically can be found in your website’s main navigation bar. Go to the discussion in question and click on the Flag button. You can now send a message to your website administrator describing why you have flagged this particular post. Your website administrator then gets an email alert with a link to their forum admin dashboard. They can then view the post and decide whether to ignore the flag or remove the post from view.
