Sunday 10th May Just a reminder that the Evening 10s will start this Wednesday 13th at 19:00 although the weather forecast at the moment isn’t looking too great. For all bar one of these events, Alan Sinclair has agreed to time keep but we will need at least one additional Marshall from those who are probably going to ride. If everyone does one marshalling duty we should be OK. Tim has agreed to do this Wednesday. We will be putting a club clothing order together soon so please keep an eye out for the email that will follow with details of prices etc. What have we all been up to? If you hadn’t heard, Richard Da Silva got his 2nd Cat a couple of weeks back and competed at Hoggs Hill this Saturday where he got 13th place and today (Sunday) he got 15th in a road race in Lambhurst Kent.Yesterday Steve T rode a windy Bossard 10 on the F12/10 and did a 23:55. Tim rode the South Pennine RC 25 on the A25/11 and did a PB in 55:56 in less than perfect conditions.Dan, Parris & Simon, expecting a steady ride on Saturday, had a fast one when Pete Bonfield turned up with Ian White averaging 20 mph on the Potton Tempsford Old Warden loop !Today was a comparatively gentle club run over to Gaddesdon Row run consisting of myself, Parris, Dave, Steve Miles, Paul B and Mike from FVS.Andy Herbert appears in great form at the moment as demonstrated with his fastest time of 22:38 in last Tuesday’s North Road evening 10. February 2009 This year's evening 10 dates have been confirmed and details are on the Time Trials page Stevenage Cycling Club held their annual dinner and awards presentation on Sunday 25th January at the ASK restaurant in Stevenage Old Town. The evening was very enjoyable and just about every member was there for a drink, chat and the presentation of cups and medals. Tim Read took most of the cups and medals for best performance in the following categories, evening 10 winner, fastest 10, fastest 50 and hill climb winner. Richard D Silva took the road racing cup and Steve Thomas won the fastest 25 cup. Helen Shilver was recognised for her fantastic performance in completing her first ironman triathlon in well under 13 hours earlier in July last year.
