Last month Stevenage Cycling Club member, Nicola took part in the Mallorca 312.
The Mallorca 312 is an annual closed-road sportive/gran fondo that takes place in and around the Serra Tramuntana mountains. It has the reputation of being one of the hardest amateur cycling events in the sportive calendar and is one of the most famous in Europe.
Nicola has completed many long distance sportives and adds this one to her growing list of successfully completed challenges.
There are three route options: 167km, 225km and 312km. Although this was Nicola’s first time taking part in the event, she opted for the 225-kilometre race that included a total of 3,973 metres of climbing. Nicola described the ride as relentless and the hardest thing she has done on a bike…so far!
