In July of last year, some members of the SCC, Ade, Chris, Walt and his son Tobi spent a week cycle touring in Romania.
The tour was guide led, on mountain bikes and covered both off-road and tarmac and ventured into the Transalvanian Alps and Carpathian Mountains.
The adventure started and concluded in the capital, Bucharest covering Moieciu, Bucium, Arpasu, Sibiu, Dealu Frumos and Sighisoara.
The high points of the holiday included the amazing scenery, Dracula’s castle in Bran, cycling off road in a country where there is a right to roam, encountering packs of sheep dogs that protect their flocks from bears (and as it turned out from cyclists too!).
