SCC member Andrew Manning represented SCC in successfully completing The Band of Climbers Toughest 100 sportive.
This one-day event took place near Sheffield in August. it is noted for being the hilliest sportive in the UK.
The 68-mile route consists of huge elevations that include 22 steep climbs totalling an elevation of 3200m (10,500ft). There are minimal flat road sections for recovery.
Andrew completed the course despite having strong winds to contend with.
